Tech Noob ("Company", "We", "Us", or "Our") operates the IPTV application (the "Application" or "Service").

This Privacy Policy explains how information may be handled when You download, install, access, or use the Application.

We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about the information that may be processed when You use the Application.

Interpretation and Definitions

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

"Application" means the IPTV player application operated by Tech Noob, including its Android phone, tablet, and Android TV versions.

"Service" means the Application and its related features and functionality.

"User", "You", or "Your" means the individual using the Application.

"Device" means any compatible Android phone, tablet, Android TV, or other device on which the Application is installed.

"Personal Data" means information that can be used to identify or reasonably relate to an individual, where applicable.

1. Information We Collect

The Application is designed primarily as an IPTV media player. We do not require Users to create an account or provide personal information solely to use the basic IPTV playback functionality.

Depending on how You use the Application and which features are enabled, certain technical information may be processed by the Application, third-party services, or the Android operating system.

1.1 IPTV Playlists and URLs

The Application allows You to add IPTV playlists and streaming URLs, including M3U and M3U8 files or links.

These playlists and URLs may contain information such as channel names, stream URLs, logos, categories, and other playlist metadata.

The playlists and URLs that You voluntarily enter or import are considered User Content. We do not claim ownership of your playlists or the media sources contained within them.

1.2 Information Stored on Your Device

The Application may store certain application data locally on your Device to provide features such as playlist management, playback preferences, application settings, and recently used information.

Such information may remain on your Device until You delete it, clear the Application data, remove the relevant playlist, or uninstall the Application.

2. Local Network Playlist Sharing

The Application may allow compatible devices to share playlists when they are connected to the same local network.

For example, You may use an Android phone to send a playlist to an Android TV on the same Wi-Fi network.

This functionality may involve direct communication between the devices over the local network.

The Company does not need to receive or store the playlist on a remote server solely for this local-network sharing feature.

The actual network communication may occur directly between the compatible devices, depending on the device operating system, network configuration, and Application implementation.

3. Third-Party IPTV Servers

When You play an IPTV stream, the Application may connect directly to the server associated with the IPTV URL or playlist You provided.

For example, when You play an M3U8 stream, the stream may be requested from the third-party server specified by that M3U8 URL.

Those third-party servers may independently collect information such as IP address, request information, device information, or other technical data according to their own privacy policies.

The Company does not control the privacy practices of third-party IPTV providers, streaming servers, content providers, or playlist providers.

4. Advertising

The Application may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising services.

Advertising providers may collect or process certain information, such as advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location, application interaction data, or other information permitted under applicable laws and platform policies, in order to provide, measure, personalize, or improve advertisements.

The information collected by advertising providers is handled according to their own privacy policies and terms.

You may have options to manage advertising personalization through your Android device settings or through controls provided by the relevant advertising service.

5. Analytics and Crash Reporting

We may use third-party analytics or crash-reporting services to understand application performance, identify technical problems, and improve the Service.

These services may collect technical information such as application version, device type, operating system version, crash information, diagnostic information, and general usage information.

We use such information for purposes including troubleshooting, improving stability, and developing new features.

6. Permissions

Depending on the features You use and the Android version of your Device, the Application may request certain permissions.

6.1 Network Access

Network access is required to retrieve and play IPTV streams and to communicate with Internet-based playlist or streaming URLs.

6.2 Local Network Access

Local network access may be required when You use the playlist-sharing feature between compatible devices connected to the same network.

6.3 Storage and File Access

If You choose to import an M3U or M3U8 playlist file from your Device, the Application may require access to the selected file through Android's file-selection mechanisms.

We only use the selected file for the functionality You requested.

7. How We Use Information

Information that may be processed through the Application or associated services may be used for purposes such as:

  • Providing IPTV playback functionality.
  • Loading and managing User-provided playlists.
  • Sharing playlists between compatible devices on the same local network.
  • Saving application settings and preferences.
  • Improving application performance and reliability.
  • Diagnosing crashes and technical problems.
  • Displaying advertisements, where applicable.
  • Protecting the security and integrity of the Service.

8. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

Information may be processed or shared with third-party service providers when reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, analyze, or monetize the Application.

Examples may include advertising providers, analytics services, crash-reporting services, hosting providers, or other technical service providers.

We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, legal process, government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users, property, or the security of the Service.

9. Third-Party Services

The Application may use or interact with third-party services. These services may have their own privacy policies and terms.

We encourage You to review the privacy policies of any third-party service that You access or use through the Application.

10. Data Retention

Locally stored Application data may remain on your Device until You delete it, clear the Application's data, remove the relevant content, or uninstall the Application.

Information processed by third-party service providers may be retained according to their respective policies and legal obligations.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information associated with the Service. However, no electronic storage system, Internet transmission, or network communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are also responsible for maintaining the security of your Device, local network, IPTV credentials, playlist URLs, and other information that You use with the Application.

12. Children's Privacy

The Application is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.

We do not knowingly request or require children to provide personal information in order to use the basic functionality of the Application.

If You believe that a child has provided personal information to Us, please contact Us so that appropriate action can be taken.

13. Your Choices

You may control your use of the Application by deleting playlists, removing imported files, clearing Application data, changing available device permissions, or uninstalling the Application.

You may also be able to control advertising preferences and certain permissions through your Android device settings.

14. IPTV Content and Privacy

The Company does not control or operate the IPTV sources that You add to the Application.

When You connect to an IPTV server, that server may process your network request and other technical information independently of the Company.

You should review the privacy practices of your IPTV provider or streaming source before using it.

15. International Data Processing

Depending on the third-party services used by the Application, information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country in which You live.

Third-party providers may process information in accordance with their own policies and applicable legal requirements.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Application, applicable laws, or our data practices.

When changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date at the beginning of this Privacy Policy.

We encourage You to periodically review this page for the latest information.

17. Contact Us

If You have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us through the contact information provided on the Application's official website or support channel.

18. Acceptance of This Privacy Policy

By downloading, accessing, or using the Application, You acknowledge that You have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
