Remote ATV is developed and operated by Tech Nobb ("Company", "We", "Us", or "Our"). By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

  • Application means the software program provided by the Company, downloaded by You, called Remote ATV.

  • Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us", or "Our" in this Agreement) refers to Tech Nobb.

  • Device means any device that can access the Service, such as a smartphone or tablet.

  • Service refers to the Application.

  • Third-party Social Media Service refers to any website or social network through which a User can log in or create an account to use the Service.

  • Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

  • Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.

  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service.

Collecting and Using Your Data

Types of Data Collected

Local Network and Device Data

To provide its core functionality, Remote ATV discovers and connects to Android TV and Google TV devices on Your local Wi-Fi network using mDNS and socket-based protocols. This connection data remains on Your local network and is not transmitted to Our servers.

Microphone Data

If You use the voice remote feature, the Application accesses Your device's microphone to capture voice commands, which are sent directly to Your paired TV device. We do not store or transmit this audio data to Our servers.

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service and may include information such as Your Device's IP address, device type, operating system version, and diagnostic data.

Advertising Data

The free version of the Service displays advertisements served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as Advertising ID), IP address, and usage data to serve relevant ads. You can learn more about how Google uses this data at Google's Privacy & Terms site.

Purchase Data

The Service offers an optional in-app purchase to remove ads and unlock premium themes. All purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store Your payment card details; this information is handled entirely by Google.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the core functionality of connecting to and controlling Your TV device.

  • To process and deliver Your in-app purchase, including removing ads and unlocking premium themes upon purchase.

  • To display advertisements within the free version of the Service.

  • To manage Your consent preferences regarding personalized advertising, where applicable.

Retention of Your Data

App preferences, pairing information, and purchase status are stored locally on Your Device. Uninstalling the Application removes this locally stored data. We do not retain this information on Our own servers.

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.

Third-Party Services

The Service uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

  • Google AdMob

  • Google Play Billing

  • Google User Messaging Platform (for consent management)

Your Rights

You may request deletion of any data associated with Your Device by contacting Us. You may also reset Your advertising identifier or opt out of personalized ads through Your device's Google Ads Settings.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
